1. The following activities of the Policy Document 2013 were undertaken.
1.1. Harlem Renaissance Correspondance Project
The work on the Harlem Renaissance Correspondence Project is temporarily suspended by dr. Van Notten.
1.2. Library
Some 50 volumes were acquired on 20th and 21st century American and English literature, contemporary literary criticism and reference books.
1.3. Courses
The director visited the Earl Gregg Swem Library at the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg VA, in May and November, and held discussions with peers. The eight courses of the 2014-2015 season were prepared with autobiographical texts by authors such as Mark Twain, Vladimir Nabokov, Eudora Welty, Joan Didion, May Sarton, Colm Tóibin and David Lodge. The lectures are given in Amsterdam (2 groups), The Hague (2 ) and Brussels (1). The number of fee-paying students in September was 72.
1.4. Workshop
A workshop was organised on Great Expectations by Charles Dickens and Mister Pip by Lloyd Jones from 22-27 June. Dr. Wim Tigges, professor of English at the University Leiden, chaired the daily sessions for 9 participants.
1.5. Symposium
A symposium was organised on Dracula by Bram Stoker on Halloween, 31 October, by Dr. Wim Tigges for 50 participants.
2. The eighteenth annual meeting of the Board of the Eleonora Stichting was held at the offices of the College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, Va, November 7th at 16.00 hrs.
3. Financial report. The policy is to support the activities of the Foundation as long as funds are available. The Operating account results in minus € 2,160. The total assets of the foundation add up to minus € 103,618. The Balance sheet totalises to € 18,422. A short-term loan of € 122,040 is outstanding to Dr. E.M. van Notten.
4. The Board wishes to recognise the commitment to the Stichting by Mr & Mrs W.F.J. van Notten for an annual contribution of € 4,000
5. The IRS (Belastingdienst) acknowledged the mission of the Eleonora Stichting and gave it the designation of a charitable foundation (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling) as of January 1st 2008 for an indefinite period.
6. Members of the Board are: Prof. dr. Th.L. Heacox(chairman), Mr. W.F.J. van Notten (secretary & treasurer), Prof. dr. P.E. Russell (Vassar College), and Prof. dr. P.C. Blank (College of William & Mary).
