- The following activities of the Policy Document 2018 were undertaken.
- Harlem Renaissance Correspondance Project
The research will focus on correspondence concerning the leading intellectuals of the Harlem renaissance such as Marcus Garvey, Walter White, James Weldon Johnson, and Alain Locke.
Relevant archives are located at Exeter university, the British Library in London, the Beinecke Library at Yale University, The University of Oregon at Eugene, and the University of Florida at Gainesville.
- Library
Some 50 volumes were acquired on 20th and 21st century American and English literature, contemporary literary criticism and reference books.
- Courses
During the 2018-2019 season, forty-eight lectures were delivered on English literature. Forty by dr Van Notten on works by Wilkie Collins, E.L. Doctorov, Kurt Vonnegut, Penelope Fitzgerald, J.M. Coetzee, Lorrie Moore and Graham Swift.. Eight lectures were delivered on Joseph Conrad, Christopher Isherwood, Graham Greene, Tim O’Brien, Bruce Chatwin, Kazuo Ishiguro, Lloyd Jones and Charlotte Hobson by dr Wim Tigges. The lectures are delivered in Amsterdam, Brussels and at the premises of the Stichting in The Hague.
The total number of fee-paying students was 88.
- Summer school
One workshop was organised this year on Henry James, The Portrait of a Lady, and John Banville, Mrs Osmond for 18 participants. It was chaired by dr Wim Tigges.
- Halloween
This year’s Halloween lecture was held at Groote Sociëteit Haagsche Club-Plaats Royaal in The Hague, on 31 October, by Dr Tigges on Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, with 80 participants.
- The twenty-second annual meeting of the Board of the Eleonora Stichting was held May 9 September at the offices of the Stichting in The Hague.
- Financial report. The policy is to support the activities of the Foundation as long as funds are available.

4. The Board wishes to recognise the commitment to the Stichting by Mr & Mrs W.F.J. van Notten for their annual contribution of € 4,000
- The IRS (Belastingdienst) acknowledged the mission of the Eleonora Stichting and gave it the designation of a charitable foundation (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling) as of January 1st 2008 for an indefinite period.
- Members of the Board are: dr Th.L. Heacox (chairman), W.F.J. van Notten (secretary & treasurer), Prof. dr P.E. Russell (Vassar College), and Prof. C. Cogswell (Northwestern University)
