- The following activities of the Policy Document 2023 were undertaken in 2023.
- Harlem Renaissance Correspondence Project
The research will continue to focus on correspondence concerning the leading intellectuals of the Harlem Renaissance and Marcus Garvey’s back to Africa movement. Relevant archives are located at the British Library in London, the Beinecke Library at Yale University, the University of Florida at Gainesville, the British Library, London and the University of Nairobi.
- Library
Some 25 volumes were acquired on 20th and 21st century American and English literature, contemporary literary criticism and reference books.
- Courses
Thirty-two lectures were given by Dr Van Notten on works by Graham Swift, Jeffry Eugenides, Jeanette Winterson, Pat Barker, Robert O Butler and John Irving. Eight lectures were given by Dr Tigges on works by Joseph Conrad, E.M. Forster, Thornton Wilder, V.S. Naipaul, William Trevor, Julian Barnes, Kazuo Ishiguro and Rose Tremain.

1.4 Summer school
A lecture was given by Dr Tigges on Quartet by Jean Rhys. 11 Persons attending.
2. The twenty-seventh annual meeting of the Board of the Eleonora Stichting was held 9 September by video link.
3. Financial report. The policy is to support the activities of the Foundation as long as funds are available.

4. The Board wishes to recognise the commitment to the Stichting by Mr and Dr van Notten for their contribution of € 4,000. The Dutch IRS (Belastingdienst) acknowledged the mission of the Eleonora Stichting and gave it the designation of a charitable foundation (Algemeen Nut Beoogende Instelling) as of January 1st 2008 for an indefinite period. The Stichting was designated a Cultural Charitable Foundation on 6 November 2020. The implication is that donations to the Stichting can be made free from taxation.
