1. The following activities of the Policy Document 2023 were undertaken in 2025.
   1. 1 Harlem Renaissance Correspondence Project

The research will continue to focus on correspondence concerning the leading intellectuals of the Harlem Renaissance and Marcus Garvey’s back to Africa movement. Relevant archives are located at the British Library in London and the University of Nairobi research library.

1. 2 Library

Some 40 titles were acquired on 20^th and 21^st century American and English literature, contemporary literary criticism and reference books.

1. 3 Courses

Thirty-two lectures were given by Dr Van Notten on works by Raymond Carver, Tobias Wolff, George & Wedon Grossmith, Katherine Mansfield, Aravid Adiga, Alice Munro, Michael Ondaatje and Alan Bennett. Seven lectures were given by Dr Tigges on Ulysses by James Joyce and one introduction on  the “The Hague Novel”.

2. De negenentwintigste jaarlijkse vergadering van de Raad van de Eleonora Stichting vond plaats in Londen en via videolink op 9 juli.

3. Financial report. The policy is to support the activities of the Foundation as long as funds are available.

4.    The Board wishes to recognise the late Rudy Verspyck ( ⴕ 2020) who left a generous bequest to the Stichting.

5. The Dutch IRS (Belastingdienst) acknowledged the mission of the Eleonora Stichting and gave it the designation of a charitable foundation (Algemeen Nut Beoogende Instelling) as of January 1^st 2008 for an indefinite period. The Stichting was designated a Cultural Charitable Foundation on 6 November 2020. The implication is that donations to the Stichting can be made free from taxation.

6. Dr Sarah Gleeson-White, English professor at the University of Sidney, Australia, visited the office of the Stichting in December. She is in the process of writing a book about Harlem Renaissance author, Wallace Thurman, for Oxford University Press. She consulted Dr. Van Notten and relevant dossiers in the library of the Stichting. After the visit she expressed her gratitude for the “intellectual stimulation”, among others.
